I’ve been considering writing about the year that was 2004. Seemed like a good idea when I sat down at my desk.

Rather than a recap of the events of the year that has just ended, I found myself wanting to link to this thread which sets forth some inspirational ideas for the year to come:

Beyond Thinking Different to Doing Different

It includes Bruce Mau’s Incomplete Manifesto for Change. Great stuff.

The manifesto is a numbered series of suggestions, and while I find myself enjoying all of them, I believe that this is my favorite of the bunch:

41. Laugh. People visiting the studio often comment on how much we laugh. Since I’ve become aware of this, I use it as a barometer of how comfortably we are expressing ourselves.

Maybe tommorrow I’ll look back on yesteryear.
