I could see someone wanting to put a stop to selling links for hundreds of dollars based on a site's TBPR metric, but that's not what happened here. At least, not to Cre8asiteforums.

As Bill reminded me, had we been in violation of terms with Google Ads, they would have removed us from the program. We had no contract regarding the display of ads in exchange for being indexed.

We had 3 TLA text link ads on a static page, outside the forums. If this isn't why our PRscore was reduced, what was?

And yes, while the TBPR has never been a stable or accurate gauge of anything, it IS a way for Google to communicate with site owners. I don't know how to read their crystal ball or read their minds...

I must be on of the few people thats not seen a dip in my TBPR but seen a rise! I launched a site 4 weeks ago and its just been asigned a TBPR of 3!! lol

Personally, I don't feel sorry for the people selling links that have had the PR striped a bit... They shouldn't have been doing it in the first place...
