Cre8asiteForums encourages web developers to support “green” awareness and nonprofits. This first Earth Day since opening a forum dedicated to Green Marketing, Conscious Web Dev and Nonprofits, we’re trying something new. We’ll be celebrating Earth Day, April 22nd, with a week-long “green” focus. The most unusual facet will be that we’re temporarily loosening some of our usually strict policies about self promotion. We want to make it easier for the community to come in and share about how their projects inspire awareness of our environment and sustainable use of resources.
Cre8Green Directory
A Cre8Green directory will be started in a sticky thread in the Cre8asite Forums Green/Nonprofit Forum. The directory will open on Earth Day, April 22nd, and will close to new entries at the end of April. Only Cre8asite Forums staff can add sites to the directory.
Accepted sites must be something that will fit with the spirit of Earth Day, and the owner of the site must be aware of and have given permission for the submission. If you’d like your site to be featured, or have the OK of a site you know, please submit a link and a description of under about 100 words per site, using the Cre8tive Flow Blog contact form.
Once you’ve added a site, please stay and visit. Anyone can make a big list of sites. Community participation is where the true treasures are born. Start a thread in the Green/Nonprofit Forum and tell us about your causes, and cause marketing. Are there differences, frustrations, rewards you’d like to share?
Is green living part of your business plan? Do you recycle, rebuild, reuse? Maintain a paperless office? Maintain an off-grid office? We invite you to share your experiences.
Are you blogging about the earth this Earth Day?
Normally, we don’t allow link drops or self promotion. Like never. Just for the Cre8Green Week, even if your site is not dedicated to green living, we are bending our rules. If you have written a substantive post that fits with the spirit of Earth Day, you are invited to tell us about it and link to it, in a Cre8Green Week thread started especially for the occasion: Blogging About The Earth.
We will accept anything that we feel will be of interest to our readers. However, moderators will still moderate, Any post we feel is purely promotional and of little value will be deleted. We will be reasonable in doing this, but our decision will be final. If you feel that we were unfair in deleting one of your posts, please send us a private message and ask for us to reconsider. Our only concern is a good experience for our visitors.
But wait! There’s more!
Have you used Social Media to support a cause? Do you have experience with how SEO for Big Causes may be helpful to a localy businesses? Come on in and brainstorm or commiserate, or just introduce yourself.
In the process of my outreach for Cre8Green Week I’ve heard about solar powered web hosting, green building companies, paperless offices, environmentally conscientious travel, you name it. We have a thriving and fascinating web community. It’s been an honor hearing about your projects, and I am looking forward to hearing more.

This is a great idea. I’m writing working on a post for Earth Day now.
