In the past, Cre8asiteforums accepted paid advertisements on static pages and inside the forums. We contributed our funds to SEO contest prizes, several educational and internship scholarships and to help in emergency situations for people in the industry who have required medical assistance for tragic situations.
Ad sales stopped because there was no one on staff available to handle the job. Kim Krause Berg, Founder and Administrator, is relaunching ad revenue generation so that Cre8asiteforums can again contribute and sponsor educational events and opportunities in the industries covered by the forums.
Some remaining funds in the “kitty” from 2007 are going towards sponsorship of Search Camp - Philly, to be held September 6-7, at Temple University in Philadelphia.
SearchCamp features a strong list of presenters with all types of experience. Attendance fees are only $21 for the entire weekend. Sponsorships, such as those by Cre8asiteforums, allow costs to stay low, and all the speakers and presenters are donating their time. Access to the event is made easy due to the location to Philadelphia trains and the PHL Airport, as well as hotels in the city and surrounding areas. Points from New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington, DC are less than 3 hours away.
Kim Krause Berg’s interest in local events was encouraged by the several year run of High Rankings Search Engine Marketing Seminars, which were held to smaller groups in various cities around the USA. Today, High Rankings focuses on more localized events such as SEO Classes.
Kim has joined the Internet Marketers of the Delaware Valley, a growing group of professionals who gather in King of Prussia once a month to network and plan activities to help spur expert web site development and search engine marketing in the Delaware Valley area (NY, PA, NJ, DE, MA, VA). This experience has led to the opportunity for affordable sponsorships Cre8asiteforums can afford.
As Cre8asiteforums celebrates its 10th year (6 in its present format, 4 as a Yahoo! Club), we intend to continue our quest to educate, network, and offer support in positive ways by getting involved and serving the people who work in our covered industries.
