You're right, Chris. There are many questions around Social Media, which we'll get to later in the series. As with all topics, time becomes a critical factor. How much time do you want to invest in Social Media Marketing? At what time does a social medium prove that it has staying power? Many of us scratched our head for months over Twitter, yet at the moment it seems to be growing exponentially. So we're all staying in touch with that phenomenon.

The power of Social Media is in buzz and in exponential growth. You tell two people, and they tell two people and so on. If you are astute in creating items with buzz potential, then SMM may well be worth investing some effort in.

Social Media Marketing is big right now, but it won't last... there will always be a new internet fad around the corner.

Thanks, Martin and Miriam.

Re simplicity, Miriam, I believe there's some simple stuff you have to get right at the front end or you'll find that your complex labor thereafter may not be well directed.

Off to a great start with this, Barry! I so enjoy your simple, accessible approach to what is, in fact, a very complex topic. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
