Sounds good. My office is mostly a PHP shop. We run it off FreeBSD boxes, not linux. MySQL is our choice of open source DBs. If you need help, feel free to holler.

That I'll probably do. My laptop is pretty old, and the next one I'll get will likely by a mac. I'm aiming at the summer time.

As for now though, I just got a new and bigger work desk with extra room for another desktop system, and I've set up a computer and monitor at it. Wanting to learn php, I figure the best way to do that is to have a system where I can mess with it.

I'm going to be installing Linux upon it within the next few days, and then add apache, mysql, and php. I have all the programs on CD.

Been so tempted to get a Mac laptop. I've pushed it back a bit to spend some time learning linux this spring. But I may be asking Pinky for some Mac pointers this summer.

Hopefully Ammon's first blog post is just the beginning of many. Ammon certainly has a way with words, and plenty of interesting things to say.

I hear that Ammon and Pinky will be going on an SEM tour together soon. Is this true?

This rumors goes further...There is chatter that Crazy Horse (you know the band that helps out Neil Young) will be touring with them.

Can anyone clear this up?

He's written about 7 million online articles in his time, but never a blog post. It is odd, though, huh?
