I wasn’t sure that it was possible, but I think I’m growing to like orange as a color for a web site. There’s been a lot of discussion about orange behind the scenes at the Cre8asite Forums. The Cre8asite Resource Library recently came out of beta with a touch of orange about it. This blog has more than a little taste of orange, too.
Can orange work?
Maybe it can. A recent showdown between designers tempts us with the color somewhere between red and yellow.
When Andrei Herasimchuk, of the quite orange Design By Fire, covered the first ever Gurus v. Bloggers Design Shootout, and let us know that “Orange is the new black” I took notice.
It’s a bit tongue in cheek, but definitely worth a visit, and I’m anticipating round two.
Amongst the Gurus are Richard Saul Wurman, Bruce Tognazzi, Peter Merholz, Jakob Nielsen, Edward Tufte, Gerry McGovern, Donald Norman, and the author of the article. The bloggers are looking like underdogs. Or are they?
Hmmm. I wonder how the forum would look in orange.

Now that is quite a read and some of those sites are not too great atall. Makes me think mine is not all bad lol.
Is Bill a blogger or a guru?

I’m just trying to learn as much as I can myself, while having some fun, and making some friends.

Color Meanings. Orange is:
“Orange combines the energy of red and the happiness of yellow. It is associated with joy, sunshine, and the tropics. Orange represents enthusiasm, fascination, happiness, creativity, determination, attraction, success, encouragement, and stimulation.”
