Really search engines don’t like the duplicate content at all. A website with real content gets better ranking in the search engines.

Mostly all of us know that search engines do not like duplicate content, even then we try to stuff it. When we have good awareness about what you wanted to write, why go for a duplicate content.

I was only made aware a few months ago that WWW and non WWW url’s are considered duplicate content. However now on Google Webmaster account you can remove the duplication from your control panel.

I guess duplicate filters will never apply to big companies that all use same articles from same sources… or big online shops copying manufacturer’s specs and descriptions… They’ll always appear on top of all your possible creativity and hours spent writing articles…
The only advantage of penalizing duplicate content would be to lower all the monopolies out there.. but this will never happen
