There’s nothing quite like a tease to get your apron twisted into a ball. For some blog readers, a blog post that stops at some point in the delivery, just as you were getting warmed up, is infuriating torture. They’re outraged to see that dreaded “Read More” or “Continue Reading” or “More” link appear.
Or not? Judging from the poll at Cre8asiteforums, nobody blows their top at “More”. In fact, they seem fairly tolerant. Most blog readers who participated (so far) will follow a link to continue reading. The consensus is that reading a blog post in full, in one shot, is best but if it can’t done, the world will not end.

Is there a difference? Must you ask permission to link to another blog from your own? Are blogrolls supposed to be reciprocal?
Not only are these questions valuable to bloggers, but there may be search engine optimization ramifications to these outbound links, so understanding the differences and usages is important.
An informative discussion developed on this topic at Cre8asiteforums, called Difference Between Blogrolls And Ordinary Link Exchanging

How is it reasonable or even possible for widely different cultures to communicate on issues of bias, using the same language?
A recent post by a non-native English speaker will inspire negative reactions that have nothing to do with his intended topic. Dollars to doughnuts the writer didn’t know he was stepping into anything more controversial than correctly formed English grammar. You could even argue that posting an article like this is a form of spam, ripe for the delete button, but our moderators spotted potential for discussion and moved the post to our members-only social area. As is often the case when a post gets under someone’s skin, there are wider issues at stake.

The Cre8tive Flow just became a WordPress-powered blog, with behind-the-scenes help from Cre8asiteforums staff on three continents. Our custom WordPress theme comes to you courtesty of Adrian Lee, ace moderator of Cre8asite’s CSS Forum. I’m liking the fresh, clean design.
Elegant design solutions like this are more than sleek looks; they reflect a total package, from content management to useability. In addition, I think it shows when the designer/programmer enjoys their work.

A few months ago Particle Tree began pre-loading their comment box with “Everyone needs a hug.” This week I stumbled across an explanation in Stanford’s Captology blog. It seems that those four little words can slow flames, for now.
What little things do you do that effect outcomes? How often do you take a fresh look?
There’s a story in my family of a long-gone aunt who’d advise “Look in the mirror every morning and say ‘well, ain’t I somethin!’ Don’t wait for someone else to get around to it.”
