Cre8asite Forums is moving to a new server location this coming weekend.
We’ve been at the old server since our start, almost three years ago. Our fourth year will find us in a new home. But, to move, we are going to be experiencing some downtime while the transfer takes place.
Kim stated that “For now, we expect to be offline this weekend - Friday, August 19 - Sunday, August 21. Our Tech Admins will keep you informed as to more details, and approximent times. ”

After two and half years of operation, Kim and her team are selling up the empire they’ve built. Cre8asite Forums is up for sale, as of Friday 1st April 2005.
Changes are taking place to make the forums an attractive buy for anyone wishing to enter the market, as administrator Bill Slawski announced today. The changes include renaming of many of the forums, a new text colour, and military style ranks for posters.
While this is a sad time for Kim and her team, it is surely an answer to prayers for anyone wishing to get started in the SEO Forum market. Offers can be e-mailed to the administration team at admin@cre8asite.net. No serious offers will be rejected.

There’s a new title amongst the lists of forums over at Cre8asite Forums.
We’ve broadened the subjects covered by our former DMOZ forum to more directories, and renamed the forum to Large-scale* Web Directories
We hope that the change will invite people to discuss a wider range of large directories on the web.
As we’ve noted in the description of the forum, the * refers to this part of the new description for the forum:

The Cre8asite Forums crossed into their third year a couple of days ago.
I’m not sure that any of us could have guessed what it would be like now when we launched it back in 2002. “Building Better Websites Together” was a tagline for the forums born this year, but the idea behind it was one that always powered the forums. The idea of people sharing different experiences and educations to help each other build something better than they could on their own.
I couldn’t go without posting a link to co-moderator Adrian Lee’s blog entry - Cre8asite Forums reach the terrible twos!

It’s been a while since I’ve last been seen posting here.
As the rolly-polly-round mascot of Cre8asite and the hero of this here blog, I guess I need to explain my prolonged absence.
Have you seen the trailers for the new comedy that is rocking the United States this last week - Dodgeball? Maybe you saw me there. I’m one of the stunt doubles on the picture.
After much bouncing, and strenuous activity, I’m ready for some more sedate activities like reporting on some of the recent threads at the forums.

I would like to apologize for the delay in the coming out with the Search Engine Roundtable review for the last 15 days in May. It has been a real busy month, but late is better then never. Here is the Roundtable review for May 15th through the 31st.
Lets start with Gmail related discussion, where a funny but sophisticated cartoon was draw up to illustrate the desire people have to get a Gmail invite. In fact, people were able to lookup gmail usernames and then go to the gmail swap portal to try to get their desired gmail account. Google has been busy, on the 31st they had the long awaited backlink update, Google’s AdWords department launched the AdWords Jumpstart program, and they took the time to block this nifty site named Proogle.

Yo, Peabody here again.
Strikes me that with the weather so nice, it’s time for some housecleaning.
I live in the forums, mind you.
So, while dusting around here, I kept popping up in the middle of active threads and getting nearly run over by good ideas.
Thought I might share some of the more exciting threads I found.
Starting off with a debate about Adwords and company names. “I know nothing about the legalities of this, but hate to think this other company is making money by catching unwary visitors looking for us … almost seems like they’re trying to make money off our reputation.”
