I just couldn’t fail to comment on the kind of headlines we’re seeing this morning. Here’s a typical one: Iraq war ‘waged on false intelligence’. There’s a natural assumption in these cases that some mastermind was manipulating the data to draw false conclusions.
Perhaps that’s true or perhaps it’s another case of the intelligence trap in action.
